The 2025 Union Square Farmers Market season has officially ended.

Thank you, Somerville locavores, for another fantastic season in the heart of Union Square!

All Market participants, including vendors and customers are required to work cooperatively with Market Manager, USMS staff and volunteers, and the public. By agreeing to participate in the Union Square Farmers Market, all agree to comply with the following Code of Conduct and consent to the enforcement of same by USMS as provided herein:

  • Verbal and physical abuse, including slander and libel, is prohibited.

  • Weapons are strictly prohibited.

  • Behaviors that disparage another participant or actions that unnecessarily interfere with other participant setups, sales, activities, or any other action that the market staff determines to be uncooperative in nature towards another participant, customers, staff or volunteers are prohibited.

  • Participants are prohibited from smoking within market boundaries.

  • Participants shall not engage in any behavior not appropriate for a public setting including, but not limited to, use of crude, obscene, or abusive language and/or physical violence.

  • Participants may not engage in promotion of religious groups, political campaigning, petitioning, or signature gathering.

Union Square Farmers Market’s operating hours are 9am-1pm, rain or shine. Although shoppers are able to browse the market area before the market’s opening, please be mindful of vendors who are preparing for the day and respect the market rules by not attempting to purchase goods prior to the 9am opening bell.
