Summer is on the horizon and Bluefin has lobster rolls at the ready! From freshly-shucked oysters to clam chowder, Bluefin has brought the best of New England to the Square since its opening in 2022. Owner Jason Tucker shares how his longtime career in local fisheries lured him to open his restaurant.


Tell us a little bit about your business!

Bluefin is a small-scale seafood restaurant with deep ties to the best quality local fish. Keeping things fresh and seasonal is at the forefront of everything we do and every fish we sell.

What inspired you to start a business?

I have always been inspired by the rugged beauty of the ocean that surrounds us here in New England. Since opening Bluefin, my desire to highlight the beautiful diversity of local New England fish species on a plate that anyone can access has only grown stronger.

What makes you most proud to be a business leader in our community?

Our mission is to create delicious and broadly approachable local seafood for everyone; it shouldn’t only be reserved for more fine dining style restaurants.

How do you #LoveUnionSquare?

We #LoveUnionSquare by collaborating with and supporting our fellow community members within Bow Market as well celebrating the amazing developments and programming that happens within the Square.

What would you recommend for a first time diner?

Our signature lobster rolls will keep you coming back!
