Join Eversource Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at a Somerville Pre-Construction Open House to learn about their Greater Cambridge Energy Program. This program is a first-of-its-kind transmission system initiative that facilitates access to clean energy resources so that customers will continue to have reliable power to meet their energy needs.

Construction is underway in Cambridge and expected to kick-off in early-2026 in Somerville.

Overall, the project includes a new underground substation in Cambridge as well as new underground electric transmission and distribution lines spanning Somerville, Cambridge, and AllstonBrighton.
