Pianist John Kordalewski leads the acclaimed Makanda Project, a large ensemble comprised of top players from the Boston and NYC jazz scenes. Don’t miss his return to Mandorla Music for a rare trio appearance, with NYC-based bassist Carlos Pino and drummer Royal Hartigan. The music will have an international dimension, drawing from Carlos' Colombian background, Royal's extensive experience exploring the rhythm traditions of West Africa, and John's musical experiences in South Africa, along with the jazz tradition of the United States.
