Projects in
2007 & 2008:
-
Monitored progress in Green Line planning.
Participated on Community Advisory Committee of
Executive Office of Transportation. Participated in
land-use planning discussions along the Green Line
corridor with City of Somerville and Somerville
groups.

Hosted
two community meetings with STEP to solicit
community feedback on Green Line station placement,
alignment and design.

Actively participated in community outreach and
education on Somerville Avenue reconstruction.
Participated in advisory group meetings and updates.
Advocated for needs of local businesses.

Addressed problems of power outages caused by NStar
electric transformers. Led effort to pressure NStar
for upgrades (now underway) that included local
media coverage, several public meetings by Board of
Aldermen and community meetings. Facilitated claims
by area businesses against NStar for damaged
equipment and supplies.

Sponsored Spring Clean Up Day with approximately 60
volunteers participating.
