What is the Fluff Festival?
This year, "What the Fluff? A Tribute to Union Square Invention,” a nationally recognized and locally beloved madcap and funky festival, will celebrate the 13th anniversary of Fluff Festival. This year's theme, "Fluff the 13th," will present a unique chance to play up superstition the “13th” so often conjures: black cats, turned luck, ironic horror, fortune tellers, Ouija boards, crystal or magic 8 balls, illusion, fantasy, and more.
Product & Vendor Selection:
Craft vendors are strongly encouraged to present handmade products that relate to this year’s theme and have a Fluff component.
Food vendors are strongly encouraged to present food products that use Marshmallow Fluff as an ingredient. All food products must be prepared in a licensed kitchen. Upon acceptance, food vendors will receive instructions on how to apply for the City of Somerville's Temporary Food Permit. Vendors are responsible for obtaining their own permit. Permit fee is $25. Vendors are expected to comply with all health regulations set by the City of Somerville.
Please note: This application is for vendor submission only and does NOT guarantee admission. Selection of vendors will be based on quality, creativity, product variety, appropriateness to the event, and space availability.
**Festival organizers also reserve the right as sole purveyor at the Festival of fluffernutter sandwiches and rice krispie treats.
**Vendors that are selling t-shirts, tote bags, or any merchandise of that nature will not be accepted into the Festival.
All vendors must email three (3) labeled and well-focused photos of their product(s). Photos must be emailed to email@example.com.
Rates & Payment:
Vendor fees are as followed:
- Food Vendor: $300
- Arts & Craft Vendor: $150
- Other: $150
Checks must be made out to Union Square Main Streets and mailed to:

Payment must be made by check. There is no online payment available.
Note: Until we receive your check, your application is incomplete and will not be reviewed for acceptance.
Tents & Equipment:
Vendor spaces are approximately 10 x 10. Vendors must provide their own tables and tents. USMS will not be responsible for providing any equipment.
Set-up & Breakdown:
On the day of the event, set-up will begin at 1:30 p.m. and all vendors must be ready for the Festival to start at 3:00 p.m. Breakdown will begin at 7:00 p.m. and all vendors must leave the premise by 8:00 p.m.
